Itinerary

At the indicated time reception at the airport of Cusco and immediately transfer to the hotel assigned for accommodation and rest, we recommend resting for at least 02 hours to acclimatize since the city of Cusco is at an altitude of 3,300msnm. Then in the afternoon, the first visits will begin.

Day 01 13:00 P. M City Tour in Cusco

The City Tour in Cusco begins with the pickup at your hotel and then head to the Plaza de Armas of Cusco, famous for having held many events of great importance for the History of Peru. Continuing the tour you will know the Cathedral Basilica of Cusco, a place of great importance for its structure since it was the palace of the Inca Wiracocha, currently you can see paintings of the Cuzco school.

Sacsayhuaman: Itis an Inca fortress located on the outskirts of the city of Cusco. The construction of Sacsayhuaman began during the reign of the Inca Pachacutec in the fifteenth century and was completed by his son Tupac Yupanqui in more than 50 years. The fortress consists of huge stone walls that resemble saw teeth and extend for a distance of more than 300 meters. The stones used in its construction are huge, some weighing more than 100 tons. This archaeological center is impressive even today because you can see the cyclopean walls of great height. Day 02: Visit Sacred Valley – Train from Ollantaytambo to Aguas Calientes – Overnight

Agricultural Laboratory of Moray which is located 47 kilometers from Cusco. Moray is a prototype of a greenhouse or biological experimental station quite advanced for its time, you can see the Inca agricultural laboratory, formed by four amphitheaters or platforms of concentric circular stones superimposed and of an approximate depth of 150 meters, like rings that widen as they ascend. Day 03: Visit Machupicchu- Return to Cusco.

Day 04: Hiking to Rainbow Mountain – Return to Cusco.

A fascinating adventure begins very early. Around 4:30 a.m. we will pick you up from your hotel, and travel by bus around 02 hours to the town of Cusipata or Paucarpata. Arriving at the indicated place a stop is made to have breakfast. Then you will continue the bus trip for 01hrs more, on the way you will observe the mountains and beautiful landscapes surrounded by snowy mountains. Arriving at the starting point is at 3,700 m.a.s.l. you will start the walk to the mountain of colors, about 2 hours. The walk has sections with a medium to high degree of difficulty and it is necessary to be in good physical condition.

The trip will be through a land of green landscapes valleys, snowy peaks, groups of alpaca, llamas, and wild vicuñas, we will have the predominant view of the snowy Ausangate and its surrounding mountains. We will directly experience how people live in the mountains, as you approach the rainbow mountain, we will begin to see the first signs of the colorful minerals that form the painted hills. The guide will explain the existence of the rainbow mountain and the reason for the colors that will be observed, due to the existence of different minerals in the area. Finally, you reach the highest point of 4,850 meters above sea level.  Where you can observe the 360-degree view of this sacred land, as a rest you can take photos of the feat achieved.

Then, to see the wonderful show, we restart the walk back by the same route to the starting point, board the bus again to go to the town of Paucarpata, where you will be given lunch, short rest, then restart the trip to the City of Cusco. Your arrival will be approximately around 17:00, transfer to your hotel. 

Day 05: Transfer from hotel to Airport – Return Flight

At the indicated time, transfer from hotel to airport for get your flight back to your country.
