Itinerary

  • Day 01 (20 June) : Reception at Cusco Airport – City Tour in Cusco:
    • At the indicated time, arrival at the airport of Cusco, our mobility together with our transferor will be waiting for you for your transfer to the assigned hotel, accommodation, and rest for acclimatization, we recommend resting.

  • Day 02 (21 June): Visit of The Sacred Valley – Night in Aguas Calientes :
    • 7:30 A.M. The staff of our agency will contact you at your hotel to start the trip to the majestic Sacred Valley of the Incas where we will enjoy the view of impressive landscapes, surrounded by mountains and unique snow-capped mountains in the Andes Mountain range as the first place of the visit will be the Agricultural Laboratory of Moray that is located 47 kilometers from Cusco. Moray is a prototype of a greenhouse or biological experimental station quite advanced for its time, you can see the Inca agricultural laboratory, formed by four amphitheaters or platforms of concentric circular stones superimposed and of an approximate depth of 150 meters, like rings that widen as they ascend. In the place, the plants were adapted to new ecosystems. There are those who believe that these constructions may have served as an amphitheater for civic-religious ceremonies and not only for agricultural purposes. Continuing the trip you will go to the Salt Mines of the town of Maras, which is located 7 kilometers from Moray and 3, 380 m.a.s.l. It has salt mines, which were already exploited by the Inca as a means of economic exchange.
    • The mines are located northwest of the town of Maras, house more than 3000 small wells with an average area of about 5 m², and are salt generators due to the existence of natural groundwater, which serves as irrigation to these wells and thus solidifies with the existing salt, this product is valid for the consumption of the surrounding population and Cusco itself. Culminating the tour, we arrive at the town of Chincheros where you can see archaeological remains of the Inca and colonial culture, additionally, we will visit the artisan market with ancestral customs such as the barter of Andean products. After a short rest, they continue their journey to the fortress of Ollantaytambo, which was a strategic military, religious and agricultural center, highlighting the buildings of the Temple of the Sun, the Intiwatana, and the baths of the Inca princess. Culminating the visit, you will go to the town of Urubamba to taste the buffet lunch.
    • After finishing the lunch you must return to the town of  Ollantaytambo directly to the train station to board the train that will take you to the town of Aguas Calientes, a point near the Sanctuary of Machupicchu, the trip lasts approximately 01 hours and 45 minutes, on the way you will observe landscapes of tropical jungle always accompanied by the Vilcanota River and the beautiful mountains,  Upon arrival our representative will be waiting for you to take you to the designated hotel, for your accommodation and rest.
  • Day 03 (22 June) : Visit to Machupicchu- Return to Cusco. :
    • Very early breakfast at your hotel, then you must go to the bus station, to board the bus that will take you to the Citadel of Machupicchu, travel time, is 30 minutes, arriving our guide will accompany you to enter and start the guide one of the Wonders of the Modern World the Historic Sanctuary of Machupicchu, we will appreciate the incomparable beauty of its legacy, showing us the enigmatic of their places; The architecture of its sacred temples, stairways, the area of Inca royalty, its terraces the sectors of the urban area, the religious center, the agricultural sector, the visit lasts approximately 02 hours, then you will have a short time to take some photographs.
    • At the indicated time again, you must take the bus and go down to the town of Aguas Calientes, where you can enjoy lunch, then you will have a reasonable time to know some places in the same town.   • Day 04 (June 23): Parade of Dances and Music – Celebrating the Day of Cusco.:
    • This day is very genuine since it begins the celebrations of the day of Cusco, parades all the institutions of the state, and privates presenting dances from the different provinces of Cusco, demonstrating colorful clothing and originality in their dances. The duration of this event takes place in the Plaza de Armas, there are moments of much excitement and tradition.

  • Day 05 (24 June) Celebration of Intiraymi in Sacsayhuaman.:
    • The Inti Raymi is an event held on June 24 of each year in the city of Cusco, the ancient capital of the Inca Empire. The festivity takes place on the esplanade of Sacsayhuamán, an Inca fortress located on the outskirts of the city. TheInti Raymi has its roots in the time of the Inca Empire and was one of the most significant celebrations of the Inca calendar.

    • The thingified ceremony is in honor of the Inti, the sun god of the Incas. It marks the winter solstice in the Southern Hemisphere and is a time to thank the sun for its gifts and renew energy for the next agricultural cycle.
      The festivity takes place in three main scenarios: the Koricancha (Temple of the Sun), the Plaza de Armas, and the esplanade of Sacsayhuamán. The ceremony lasts all day and involves numerous participants, including actors representing historical figures such as the Sapa Inca (the Inca ruler) and priests.

    • During the Inti Raymi rituals are performed such as the invocation to the sun, offerings of thanks, traditional dances, and music, the participants wear colorful ceremonial costumes, and symbolic stagings of the Inca historical events are carried out. The event begins at the Temple of Koricancha or Temple of the Sun, then continue with dances and music through the Plaza de Armas, where the Inca delivers to the mayor of Cusco the Quipus as a symbol of good vibes for the agricultural year. After this ceremony they continue dancing and singing to the esplanade of Sacsayhuamán, the main place of the staging of the Inti Raymi, where the Inca will perform:

      • Report of the 4 Suyos or Regions: Collasuyo, Kuntisuyu, Antisuyo and Chinchaysuyo.
      • Rite of the Chicha.
      • Rite of the Sacred Fire.
      • The sacrifice of the Flame (Andean camelid) and omens.
      • Rite of Sankhu (sacred bread).

    • The Inti Raymi is considered one of the most important festivities to keep alive the tradition and cultural identity of the ancient Inca Empire. It is also recognized as the Cultural Heritage of the Nation by the Ministry of Culture of Peru.). The ceremony ends at approximately 4 p.m., transfer to your hotel.
  • Day 06 (25 June) City Tour in The City – Free Afternoon.:
    • The City Tour in Cusco begins with the pick up at your hotel and then go to the Plaza de Armas of Cusco, the tour begins with visits to the  CATHEDRAL BASILICA OF CUSCO, a place of great importance for its structure and the religious identity of the people, it was the palace of the Inca Wiracocha, in the time of the Incas,  It is currently the most sacred place of religiosity for its effigies of great value that conglomerate thousands of Cusco in different festivals of the year, you can also see paintings of the Cuzco school, altars with gold leaf, wood carvings.

    • SACSAYHUAMAN: Itis an Inca fortress located on the outskirts of the city of Cusco. The construction of Sacsayhuaman began during the reign of the Inca Pachacutec in the fifteenth century and was completed by his son Tupac Yupanqui in more than 50 years. The fortress consists of huge stone walls that resemble sawteeth and extend for more than 300 meters. The stones used in its construction are huge, some weighing more than 100 tons.  This archaeological center is impressive even today because you can see the cyclopean walls of great height.  Sacsayhuaman was the scene of an important battle during the Spanish conquest of Peru in the sixteenth century.

    • Today, Sacsayhuaman is a major tourist attraction and is recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The fortress is also the place of celebration of Inti Raymi, the festival of the sun that is celebrated in Cusco every June 24.

    • QENQO: Continuing the tour, you will head towards the sacred Rock, this place is characterized by the underground galleries in the form of a labyrinth and by the small channels carved in the rocks in a zigzag shape.  History says that the Incas performed ceremonies and rituals to their gods This monument was qualified as an amphitheater because it has a semicircular construction, which could well be used as an altar, a court, or a tomb. It is presumed that it was one of the most important sanctuaries that existed in the Inca. Continuing the visit, you will know Pucapucara, known as the control center, to enter the City of Cusco.

    • TAMBOMACHAY: It is an archaeological site that was destined for the cult of water so that the potentate of the Inca Empire could rest. It consists of a series of aqueducts, canals, and several waterfalls that run through the rocks. It stands out from this that, from a main waterfall, the Incas created two secondary waterfalls, which are the same.  Here there was also a kind of royal garden whose irrigation came from a complicated system of canals specially made for such a function. Likewise, it constituted a zone of control of the people who came from the Antisuyo, because there was a control tower there.

    • KORICANCHA: To culminate the visit you will know The Temple of Koricancha is an important archaeological site located in the same city of Cusco, It was built by the Incas in the fifteenth century and was one of the most important temples of the Inca Empire. The Koricancha was a temple dedicated to the sun and was believed to contain gold and silver objects of great value. Its construction was made with limestone and polished andesite and was decorated with Inca motifs and walls covered with gold and silver The highlight of this place are the temple of the sun, the moon, and the stars, according to history says that they were covered with gold, silver and precious stones.

    • Today, you can see the remains of the temple and the church in the same place. Visitors can explore the ruins of Koricancha and observe the mix of Inca and Spanish architecture that makes it up.

  • Day 07 (26 June): Transfer to The Airport – Return Flight:
    • Breakfast at your hotel, at the indicated time, and transfer from the hotel to the airport for your flight back to the city of origin.
